Children come into contact with food, stationery, toys, and other items almost every day. As a popular type of toy in recent years, figurines have quickly become the "new favorite" of children due to their exquisite craftsmanship and flexible marketing methods. However, when the text, images, or their own designs on such products contain vulgar content, it will directly affect the physical and mental health of children.

Case Review
On December 13th, under the strong guidance of the "Sweeping Pornography and Illegal Publications" Office of the Jiangxi Provincial Public Security Department and the Nanchang Municipal Public Security Bureau on the case of online sales of obscene and pornographic figurines, the Public Security Brigade of Honggutan Branch launched a thunderous attack and traced the situation. On December 15th, three illegal persons including a wholesale seller of obscene and pornographic figurines named Deng were successfully arrested, and 736 obscene and pornographic figurines were confiscated on site, bringing down this illegal wholesale and sales den in one fell swoop.
This type of figurine is commonly known as "mama jian da", and its appearance is often a parody of vulgarity or obscene pornography.According to the confession of illegal personnel Deng and three others, the batch of figurines were purchased through online transactions and are adaptations of copyright free anime characters. They are mainly sold around schools under the name of "figurines" and use the immature and curious minds of minors to achieve profit.

At present, Deng and three others have been administratively detained for violating the relevant provisions of the Law of the People's Republic of China on Public Security Administration Punishments for selling obscene materials for profit. The case is currently under further investigation.
The case of obscene and pornographic manipulation investigated and dealt with by the Honggutan Branch is the first of its kind in Nanchang. The merchants, in order to obtain profits, lowered their moral bottom line, spread pornographic messages, induced vulgar tastes, and caused serious harm to the physical and mental health of primary and secondary school students. The seizure of this case is of great significance for protecting the healthy growth of young people and effectively resisting harmful cultural products and harmful publications.

Next, the "Sweeping Pornography and Illegal Publications" Office of Nanchang Public Security Bureau will work together with relevant market supervision departments to strengthen inspections and checks at key locations and time periods, promptly ban and investigate illegal products related to pornography in accordance with the law, and minimize the circulation space of "borderline" cultural products. In addition, schools and parents should scientifically carry out sex education for minors, and provide timely correction and guidance for behaviors or signs of purchasing "soft pornography" peripheral products.
